About the author
Botao Amber Hu is a designer and researcher for spatial computing. He creates tools and artworks addressing creation process using spatial computing. In Botao's TEDx Talk, he uncovered how spatial computing technology helps the way we create cinematic aerial shots.
Botao is a lecturer at China Academy of Art. His lab explores the intersection of art, design, technology. The interests are broadly spanning from interspecies co-creation to knowledge graph, from human-computer interaction to menstrual blood proteomes. He is founder of Holo Interactive. He invented and explored new technologies for spatial computing, including the cooperation with Apple Vision Pro team.
Botao is the recipient of numerous awards, including iF Design Award, Core77, Red Dot Award, Webby Award. His academic papers have been published in top conferences and journals including SIGGRAPH and CHI. His work has been featured on Yahoo, TechCrunch.
Botao graduated from Stanford with a Master of Computer Science with . He holds a bachelor of Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Tsinghua University.
